purpose

Manage training and development by providing resources to Business Units. Manage facilitators and administrators, implement training and development policies.

experience and qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits and passes in English and Mathematics.
  • Diploma or Degree in HR or related field and preferably or an equivalent combination of experience and education. A Diploma in Training Methods will be an added advantage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Banking, banking products, services and delivery channels.
  • Certification in soft skills training such as coaching, mentoring and presentation skills will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of techniques and philosophies of adult education.

responsibilities

  • Supervise and control expenses of the Learning and Development function to ensure optimal use of funds.
  • Supervise and guide Facilitators by ensuring that the learning and development goals are met and excellent service is provided to the employees.
  • Analyse audit reports and recommend learning and development interventions.
  • Coordinate delivery of learning and development activities.
  • Coordinate and implement Development Programs
  • Research Learning and Development best practices and recommend amendments to the Learning Policy.
  • Supervise and control the maintenance of the Learning centre and all facilities.
  • Coordinate and administer the Bursary Scheme of the Group.
  • Identify training needs within the Group and develop and recommend suitable training capability to deliver on these needs.
  • Contribute to the establishment and implementation of a sustainable training function.
  • To design material and deliver training appropriate solutions.
  • Facilitate and deliver technical and soft skills training.
  • Report on training done and costs per month.
  • Ensure all training activities and materials meet the training policy and standards of the Group.
  • Investigate and leverage off the training done within FNB to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Identification and active involvement in external training and accreditation providers.
  • Keeps accurate database of all Learning and Development activities.
