Senior Lecturer – School of Business Information and Technology | Cavendish University Zambia | Lusaka, Zambia | Part Time

Main purpose of the job

To contribute in the design and development of the curriculum and deliver teaching to students within the quality assurance framework of Higher Education Authority and the University and as well as implementing the University’s research plans and co-ordinating research activity within the specific subject area.

Qualifications and Experience

a) PhD relevant in Business or other related fields
b) Masters in Business or other related fields from a recognized institution of higher learning.
c) Bachelor’s degree in Business from a recognized institution of higher learning.
d) Teaching experience at University level for at least five (5) years at the rank of Lecturer.
e) At least two (3) scholarly articles in internationally recognized journals
f) Experience of teaching within an international context

c) Expert skills and knowledge with Microsoft Office
d) Ability to prioritize and work accurately in fast-paced environment, with short turn-around deadlines, prioritizing and managing multiple assignments and projects simultaneously, and following through on issues in a timely manner
e) Articulate, self-motivated, highly resourceful, well-organized, detail-oriented and flexible
f) Adaptable to working with all levels of staff both within the organization and externally
g) Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
h) Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
i) Presentable, and neat with capacity to pay attention to detail
j) Team leader and team player
k) Ability to control a classroom and teach
l) Analytical skills
m) Excellent knowledge of on-line resources for specific area of expertise
n) Willingness to continue learning
o) High levels of integrity
